Boil Water Advisory for Stratton Capers REPEALED
May 3, 2018: The Dorchester County Water and Sewer Department advises the residents of Stratton Capers that they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.
Following an intense flushing of the water distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected by the Department and analyzed by our laboratory. The results of this sampling indicate that the water system is now safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.
May 2, 2018: Dorchester County Water & Sewer has issued a boil water advisory for the Stratton Capers neighborhood, until further notice.
Customers are advised to boil their water vigorously for at least one (1) full minute before drinking or cooking. Also, any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes. Notification will be given as soon as the water is safe for consumption.
