Dorchester County Monitoring Localized Flooding Along the Ashley River
The accumulated rainwater from the last several days has begun to make its way down river which has caused localized flooding in low lying areas along the Ashley River.
Dorchester County public safety and public works crews continue to monitor the flood-prone areas in Ashborough and along Twin Lakes Drive near Weir Street. At this time, no water has been reported inside homes. Dorchester County Fire Rescue has prepositioned assets to respond, as needed.
Forecasts continue to show a daily chance of rain for the next several days. However, no significant accumulation is anticipated. The are no active flood advisories, watches or warnings for the Ashley River in Dorchester County.
