Dorchester County Emergency Operations Center to Move to OPCON 3 at 8:00 AM
The Dorchester County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will move to Operating Condition (OPCON) 3 at 8:00 AM, tomorrow, Sunday, September 9, 2018, closely monitoring Tropical Storm Florence.
OPCON 3 means an emergency is likely, the EOC has partially activated and the Emergency Operations Plan has been fully activated.
County officials and staff continue to participate in daily conference calls to remain up-to-date on the storm’s path and potential impacts. While the path of Florence remains uncertain, residents are encouraged to review their hurricane preparedness and evacuation plans. Dorchester County Hurricane Evacuation Zones have changed.
