Dorchester County Announces Office and School Closures
The Dorchester County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will move to Operating Condition (OPCON) 3 at 5:00 PM, today, Wednesday, October 10th, closely monitoring Hurricane Michael. OPCON 3 means an emergency is likely, the EOC has partially activated.
Office and School Closures
All Dorchester County Administrative Offices and Courts will close at 3:00 PM today, Wednesday, October 10th and will remain closed tomorrow, Thursday, October 11th.
The Dorchester County Library, the Dorchester County Career & Technology Center (DCC&TC) and all Dorchester School Districts Two (DD2) and Four (DD4) Schools will be closed on Thursday, October 11th.
Visiting hours at the Dorchester County Detention Center have been canceled for Thursday, October 11th.
The Planning Commission meeting scheduled for 4:00 PM, tomorrow, October 11th has been canceled.
An announcement regarding office/school closures on Friday, October 12th will be announced on Thursday, October 11th.
Reporting Downed Trees/Powerlines
Residents are asked to report all downed trees and/or powerlines to the Dorchester County Dispatch Center at (843) 873-5111.
Reporting Power Outages
Power outages are likely to occur. Residents should report outages directly to the utility provider.
