I-26 Lane Closures for SCDOT Volvo Interchange Project

November 13, 2018: Conti Enterprises, Inc., in conjunction with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), announces the following lane closures on I-26 from Mile Marker 188 to Mile Marker 191 (between the Highway 27/Ridgeville Exit (MM 187) and the Jedburg Road Exit (MM 194) for work related to the SCDOT Volvo Interchange Project:

I-26 Eastbound Pacing Operations

  • Tuesday, November 13th 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM (Midnight) 

The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) will be slowly pacing traffic through the work zone and drivers may experience up to 20 minutes of wait time. SCHP will clear traffic between work operations. 

I-26 Westbound Right Lane Closure

  • Friday, November 16th 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM

One lane of traffic will remain open.

All scheduled times are approximate and dependent on the weather.

Drivers traveling near the construction zones are asked to be aware of equipment and crews, new and changing traffic patterns, and to comply with traffic control signs, reductions in speed limits, and message board information. 


November 7, 2018: The Overnight Lane Closures on I-26 scheduled for Wednesday, November 7th and Thursday, November 8th have been canceled.

November 2, 2018: Conti Enterprises, Inc., in conjunction with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), announces the following lane closures on I-26 westbound from Mile Marker 188 to Mile Marker 191 (between the Highway 27/Ridgeville Exit (MM 187) and the Jedburg Road Exit (MM 194) for girders to be installed across the westbound lanes of the interstate (for the SCDOT Volvo Interchange Project):

 

I-26 Westbound Right and Left Lanes

  • 6:00 PM on Monday, November 5th to 8:00 AM on Tuesday, November 6th  
  • 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 6th to 8:00 AM on Wednesday, November 7th
  • Wednesday, November 7th - CANCELED
  • Thursday, November 8th - CANCELED

Volvo In addition to the lane closures noted above, on Monday, November 5, the South Carolina Highway Patrol will be slowly pacing traffic through the work zone as the girders are being installed across the westbound lanes of the interstate. Drivers may experience up to 20 minutes of wait time for placement of each girder. The South Carolina Highway Patrol will clear traffic between each girder placement operation.

One lane of traffic will remain open.
