In-Person Absentee Voting Underway in Summerville, St. George, and North Charleston

Beginning, today, Monday, October 28 – Friday, November 1, residents can vote in-person absentee at the Adult Learning Center located at 1325 Boonehill Road in Summerville and the Community Center at Wescott Park located at 9006 Dorchester Road in North Charleston.

Dorchester County voters can also vote in-person absentee, during normal business hours, now - Monday, November 4 at the Dorchester County Elections and Voter Registration Office located at 201 Johnston Street in St. George.

All Dorchester County voters who would like to vote in-person absentee can do so at any one of the above locations between the hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Between 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM today, over 140 Dorchester County voters have voted in-person absentee.

Todd Billman, Executive Director of the Dorchester County Board of Elections & Voter Registration said, “Longer wait times are expected on Election Day as the new voting machines are used for the first time in Dorchester County. To avoid the long lines, I encourage voters to take advantage of in-person absentee voting.”

Citizens Call Center

The Citizens Call Center will be open daily from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Wednesday, October 30 – Friday, November 1 and Monday, November 4. The Call Center will be open from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Election Day. Dorchester County staff members will be standing by at (843) 832-0132 and (843) 563-0132, during the above hours to answer any/all election related questions.
