Boil Water Advisory Issued for Stratton Capers II - REPEALED

Dorchester County Water and Sewer Department advises the below Stratton Capers II residents that they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.

Following an intense flushing of the water distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected by the Department and analyzed by our laboratory. The results of this sampling indicate that the water system is now safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.

January 27, 2020 

Dorchester County Water & Sewer Department has issued a Boil Water Advisory for 102 – 174 Beret Street, 3955 Ashley Phosphate Road, 3803 Ashley Phosphate Road, 131 Hanniford Drive and 139 Hanniford Drive. The addresses are in the Stratton Capers II area which is off Ashley Phosphate Road near the City of North Charleston. Approximately 40 homes and 4 businesses are affected. 

When the water supply is restored, customers are advised to boil their water vigorously for at least one (1) full minute before drinking or cooking. Also, any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes. Notification will be given as soon as the boil water advisory has been lifted.
