Dorchester County Residents Urged to Remain Cautious of Icy Roads on Monday

County Announces Operational Updates for Monday

Post Date:02/01/2026 2:00 PM

Dorchester County Emergency Management officials continue to monitor weather conditions and work closely with the National Weather Services and local partners to monitor the weather and road conditions.

SCDOT, the County, and local municipalities worked throughout the day on Sunday to salt and clear the roadways. Due to the frigid temperatures expected on Sunday night, there could be icy areas on the roadways on Monday morning. Residents are encouraged to drive slowly and cautiously during their Monday commute.

For road closures, the County is utilizing the Waze map to update the community. Residents can access the map online or by downloading the Waze App on Apple App Store or Google Play.
