The Dorchester County Water and Sewer Department is issuing a Boil Water advisory, starting on March 31, 2026, after 10:00 PM for the Dorchester County Water and Sewer customers located near I-95 and Highway 178. This advisory is being issued due to contractor work in the area.

Water service is expected to be shut off for approximately eight (8) hours during the contractor work. When the water supply is restored, customers are advised to boil their water vigorously for at least one (1) full minute before drinking or cooking. Also, any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes. Notification will be given as soon as the water is safe for consumption.
