Effective August 1, 2026, Dorchester County will no longer accept tires at the Givhans Convenience Site. Due to higher site capacity, the Campbell Thicket Convenience Site, located at 258 Campbell Thicket Road in Ridgeville, will be open for tire disposal starting in August.

In addition to the Campbell Thicket site, Dorchester County residents can properly dispose of car, motorcycle, and truck tires (without the rims) at the following Convenience Sites:

• Miles Road (130 Suburban Lane, Summerville)
• Sandy Pines (374 Sandy Pines Lane, Dorchester)
• George (5365 Jim Bilton Boulevard, St. George)
