The Dorchester County Water and Sewer Department is issuing a Boil Water advisory, starting on July 7, 2026, beginning at 8:00 AM for ALL Bent Creek Court, Hidden Forest Lane, Burkeshire Court and for 4437 – 4468 Rice Mill Drive.  This advisory is being issued due to contractor work in the area.

Water service is expected to be shut off for approximately ten (10) hours during the contractor work. When the water supply is restored, customers are advised to boil their water vigorously for at least one (1) full minute before drinking or cooking. Also, any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes. Notification will be given as soon as the water is safe for consumption.
