Adam W. Davis, Deputy Administrator of Operations
Before joining Dorchester County, Davis served as the Chief Officer of Operations for Berkeley County School District and the Chief Operations Officer for Chester County School District where he managed capital improvement projects, facilities management, grounds maintenance, transportation, safety & security, and information technology. His extensive experience includes capital planning, facility improvements, new construction and debt service financing.
Davis has also held the role of Director of Operations and Facilities for Dorchester School District Four, where he worked closely with the Superintendent. He supervised custodial operations, facilities & grounds maintenance, security, and more. He was also responsible for new construction, strategic planning and emergency management. Early in his career he served as the Parks Director for the City of Walterboro managing parks & playgrounds, facilities, public grounds to include streetscapes, the I-95 corridor, downtown beautification efforts and oversight of the Wildlife Sanctuary. He served as staff to the Tree Protection Committee and the Keep Walterboro Beautiful Board. Davis began his career with Dorchester School District Two serving in the Facilities Department for 10 years.
A graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Public Administration degree. Davis is a native of the Knightsville community in Dorchester County and a Summerville High alumnus.
