An individual has the right to request a register of deeds or clerk of court remove any/all of the above from an image or copy of an official record placed on a public website used by a register of deeds or clerk of court to display public records.
The request must be in writing and delivered by mail, fax, email, or in person, to the register of deeds or clerk of court.
The request must specify the official record and the page number that contains the personally identifiable information to be redacted.
There is no fee for the redaction pursuant to the request.
