Unless otherwise noted, all Probate Court documents are public records.

You can search estates filed at to confirm an estate is being probated.

Copies of Probate Court documents may be requested over by mail or in-person at the Probate Court office, during normal business hours.

Payment must be made in full prior to receiving a copy of Probate Court records. Payment can be made in person via cash or check made payable to: Dorchester County Probate Court and/or via mail to the address provided below.  A charge of .50 cents per page will be due at the time the copies are made. If you would like your records mailed to you, then you must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your payment.

Records concerning mental health, guardianship and/or conservatorship have protected and confidential information and are not available for public review.
