About Emergency Management
The Emergency Management Department (EMD) is responsible for mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery from natural or man-made disasters. The department manages the county Emergency Operations Center during disasters.
Additionally, staff procure, maintain, administer systems, and provide technical support for the county's communications assets. EMD also provides first-line diagnostics to the E911 Dispatch Center, maintains its equipment, and manages the 911 Fund.
