Dorchester County Fire Rescue (DCFR) has partnered with the American Red Cross to make smoke alarms available to all Dorchester County Residents. 

The smoke alarms are provided by the American Red Cross and installed by DCFR on Saturdays.

County residents may request to have a smoke alarm installed in their home by completing the below form or contacting DCFR Headquarters at (843) 563-0214. 

North Charleston

Residents who live in the City of North Charleston should contact the North Charleston Fire Department, at (843) 740-2616, to request a smoke alarm. 

Summerville

Residents who live in the Town of Summerville should contact the Summerville Fire Department, at (843) 873-5107, to request a smoke alarm.
