Providing safe drinking water to the Dorchester County Water and Sewer (DCWS) Department customers is our highest priority.
Regulated by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC DHEC), DCWS follows strict standards to ensure that the water remains safe. Many safeguards are in place and regular monitoring occurs as required.
The Department furnishes an Annual Drinking Water Quality Report to all customers in the below water service areas. These reports are designed to provide details about where your water comes from and how it compares to standards set by regulatory agencies.
