More than 130 people serve on Dorchester County Boards and Commissions.  All approved applicants are voted on by Dorchester County Council. After a favorable vote by Council, some positions require the additional step of appointment by the South Carolina Governor.  If you are a registered voter and would like to serve on one of the Boards and Commissions in Dorchester County, please download, complete an application and send to lconrad@dorchestercountysc.gov.  We are now accepting applications for the following:                                                

*  Accommodation Tax Advisory Committee, District 1 & 4                                                      (Hospitality/Lodging & at Large)

*  Board of Assessment Appeals, District 4

*  Planning Commission, District 1

*  Board of Disabilities and Special Needs, District 7
