Debris Removal Assistance

SC 2-1-1 is working in collaboration with Crisis Cleanup to connect homeowners with post-storm services. Dorchester County residents who need help with debris removal, and other clean-up services due to Hurricane Irma should call 2-1-1.

Note: Due to the minimal impacts of Tropical Storm Irma, Dorchester County will not be collecting debris, curbside. Residents who need assistance with the debris removal should contact a private hauler or contractor or call 2-1-1.

Residents may also dispose of yard debris at the Miles Jamison or Sand Pines Convenience Sites.


Convenience Sites

The Miles Jamison and Sandy Pines Convenience Sites will be open from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Saturday, until further notice.

Note: Yard Debris can only be disposed of at the Miles Jamison and Sandy Pines Sites.  Limbs should be no more than 10-12 inches in diameter and not more than 4-6 feet in length. Oversized limbs, tree trunks and stumps will not be accepted.

Trailer length restrictions will be suspended at Miles Jamison and Sandy Pines for residents performing storm clean up. Contractor use is strictly forbidden and will result in civil penalties.

Mosquito Abatement

Residents can request ground spraying for mosquito abatement via the online form and/or by contacting the Mosquito Abatement Office at (843) 832-0080.


Damage Assessments

County residents and business owners are encouraged to report structural damage via the damage reporting form.
