The Solid Waste Division of Public Works is responsible for maintaining the County Convenience Sites, and ensuring that all solid waste generated in Dorchester County, is disposed of in accordance with State and Federal Laws. The Solid Waste Division is led by Mr. Bob Osterhout who has been with the County since 2016.

 

Convenience Sites Hours of Operations

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM 

Wednesday: Closed

Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Sunday: Closed

Miles Jamison Convenience Site

The Miles Jamison Site is open on Tuesdays & Thursdays (excluding holidays) from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Sandy Pines Convenience Site

The Sandy Pines Site is open on Monday, Wednesday & Friday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Tuesdays & Thursdays 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
